Resumo
This paper proposes to present a project for the generation of renewable electric energy
in an isolated community in the interior of the Amazon, with renewable sources supplied by
primary energies according to the particularities of the region, allied to an intelligent grid
system, forming a microgrid. With an intelligent microgrid it is possible to command and
integrate the actions of all agents connected to it, such as sources and consumers. The diversity
of power generation sources constitutes a hybrid generation system, which may be an
alternative of sustainable distributed power generation. Thus, a Micro Smart Grid can be
established as a more efficient, safe and manageable way to connect large numbers of small and
medium sized generators to isolated or uninsulated electrical systems. Distributed generating
sources and their load groups are viewed as an independent electrical subsystem, which operates
connected to a utility's system, with a bidirectional power flow between them, such as
consumers who may have their own source and thus inject or consume or receive electricity
from the grid. Considering the renewable sources found in the region under study, which are:
Photovoltaic Energy as a priority source, and Biomass as an auxiliary energy source, this paper
presents the development of an intelligent hybrid project composed of renewable sources,
battery system and a generator set. diesel as a backup source.
