A aplicação da logística reversa nas metalúrgicas da cidade de Manaus: um estudo aplicado da economia circular

Abstract

The increase of cities and industries resulting from a growing process of urbanization has strongly contributed to an increase in the unregulated use of natural resources. The metallurgic sector has a large participation in this process and in the formation of solid waste, demonstrating an unsustainable system in the long term. This work aims to explore the concepts related to Sustainable Development and its applicability in the metallurgical sector, aiming at an accurate understanding of the Reverse Logistics system applied to the sector in question. This, then, has relevance because of the environmental, social and economic importance of the valorization of productive processes with the least environmental impact. Therefore, the work emerges as a contribution to studies oriented to the incentive of the creation of an economy that incorporates Sustainable Development in its tools. It seeks to analyze companies in the metallurgical industry operating in the Manaus Industrial Pole and their relationships with reverse production processes and visualizing their benefits for current and future society.
