Resumo
For modern public administration and understanding of the performance
evaluation process as a management tool, it becomes capable of generating
continuous improvement in the results of servers and work teams. In the current work
scenario, the bodies and entities that are part of the direct federal public
administration, autarchic and foundational, were regulated to the operational,
specificization of the performance evaluation system, according to Law No. 11,784
and Decree No. 7133. Thus, the objective of this article is to identify and analyze the
application of the execution evaluation methodology applied to this Federal Public
Security Institution in the state of Amazonas, as well as the comparison against the
modern methodologies used. To this end, a qualitative documentary research was
carried out, where data were extracted from the internal documents of the public
institution, which are important for the object of this study. Thus, the current system
for performance evaluation means more than a legal framework in administrative
procedures, therefore it brings cultural change to public institutions, thus seeking the
commitment of servers as a fundamental circumstance for their success and the
organization.
