Empreendedorismo: uma análise da importância da vertente econômica de Joseph Alois Schumpeter

Abstract

This article seeks to address the importance of Joseph Alois Schumpeter's (1883- 1950) contributions to entrepreneurship, as well as his theories and conceptions on the subject. Thus seeking to show the relevance of the theorist with regard to entrepreneurship. The research is a qualitative approach. The research is bibliographic and explanatory. The article will be analyzed by publications such as articles, books and other theoretically consistent materials. This study contributes to the theoretical understanding about entrepreneurship. The conclusions refer to Schumpeter's contributions to the subject, such as the question of the definition of entrepreneurship, the expression “creative destruction”, innovations arising from entrepreneurship and its consequences, the granting of credit and the complementation of his theory, thus proving the significance of Schumpeter's contribution to the theme.
