Abstract

This article results from the analysis of the interview given by Dona Léa Garcia to journalist Sandra Almada, seeking to create a History based on methodological concepts about Michel Pollack's memory, taking into account Léa Garcia's trajectory in the national artistic field. We will analyze Léa Garcia's trajectory to understand race and gender relations in the field of performing arts, highlighting her memories to analyze the categories of Race and Gender involved in her journey, with the purpose of denouncing the multiple forms of oppression, in which Léa Garcia comes across the performing arts scene at different moments in his career, uncovering the mechanisms outlined and thought about in the logic of racial and gender inequalities.
