Abstract

This article presents geographic knowledge, which is present in the daily activities of riverside families in the Lago do Máximo community, with the father of the aforementioned student as the protagonist, who reported on his experience and learning, in routine family dialogues. The community of Máximo is located in the southern part of the municipality of Parintins. The main objective that guided the research was: to understand the geography existing in the speech of the resident of the Máximo community. The theoretical foundations are in: Nogueira, 2014; Padua, 2013; Carlos 2007. The methodological procedures adopted allowed us to listen carefully to the speeches of the resident of the Máximo community; listening allowed us to enter the world of perception of all the knowledge expressed and taught from father to son, with the aim of conceiving the geography existing in the reports. Through listening and notes in the scientific notebook, one can highlight the geography present in the riverside way of life, in daily activities and in caring for nature, where the feeling of belonging accompanies you when living in the city of Parintins.
