Resumo
This article aims to analyze the meanings of the trauma and memory of the military dictatorship in the brazilian literature Os Bêbados e Os Sonâmbulos by Bernardo Carvalho (1996) and in the chilean literature Nocturno de Chile (2000) by Roberto Bolaño, which portray the dark moments of the military dictatorship experienced by these and other Latin American countries. This is a Bibliographic, Qualitative and Dialectical research that analyzed literary strategies and discursive phenomena based on the theoretical thinking of Roger Chartier (2002) and Regina Delcastagne (2012) and Jaime Ginzburg (2012). Regarding the issue of memory and the trauma left after the military dictatorship, the analyzes were based on the concepts of Márcio Seligmann Silva (2004;2005). We sought to verify how literary strategies and discursive phenomena are important in the representation of relations of violence between authoritarian governments and social subjects, in order to understand how literary discourse can approach or distance itself from historical discourse and point out the meanings of trauma and memory of these people who experienced this form of authoritarian government.
