Resumo
A cerebrovascular accident, commonly known as a cerebral
hemorrhage, is a condition characterized by an alteration in cerebral blood flow,
which can be ischemic or hemorrhagic. Among its sequelae, epileptic seizures
stand out, caused by inflammation, scarring, or brain injuries, requiring
pharmacological treatment with antiepileptic drugs and medical follow-up to
reduce seizures and improve individuals’ quality of life. Objective: To report my
experiences as a Physical Education undergraduate student after a
cerebrovascular accident, with epileptic seizure sequelae.
Methodological Procedures: This is an experience report concerning my
academic trajectory, which began in 2019, in the Physical Education Teaching
Degree Program at the University of the State of Amazonas (UEA), at the School
of Health Sciences (ESA), located in the southern area of Manaus.
Experience Report: The experience covers the period from the beginning of the
degree program to the occurrence of the cerebrovascular accident in August
2020, during the pandemic, as well as the rehabilitation process, reintegration
into the university, and experiences related to teacher education, especially
during supervised internships. Final Considerations: This work was of great
importance as it highlights my academic and personal journey; I hope it
contributes to the scientific literature, encouraging the participation of new
individuals with conditions similar to mine so they can achieve their dreams and
goals, as I achieved mine. I also highlight the process of reintegration and
inclusion within the university, lived in partnership with professors, coordinators,
and fellow students, who understood my limitations and believed in my potential
and ability to continue my academic life through the organization of specific
strategies, supporting me through every stage of this journey.
