Resumo

This article proposes a study on how the poet Violeta Branca constructs, through literature, a narrative of resistance around the Amazon and the female experience. The research aims to explore the aesthetic and thematic processes used by the author to express this resistance, analyzing the work "Ritmos de Inquieta Alegria" (1935) from a poetic point of view, and highlighting the role of literature in valuing Amazonian culture and the female experience. The study focuses on the analysis of selected poems "Minha lenda" and "Poema das tuas mãos", highlighting elements that demonstrate forms of resistance, such as the breaking of gender stereotypes and the affirmation of female identity. The research adopts a qualitative, analytical interpretative approach, based on literary analysis and feminist criticism. The theoretical framework draws on authors and theorists who discuss the presence of women in literature, the critique of patriarchal structures, and writing as a form of resistance, such as: Constância Lima Duarte (2003), Nelly Novaes Coelho (1991), Terry Eagleton (2006), Hélène Cixous (1975), and Gerda Lerner (2019). The study seeks to understand how the work constructs a poetics of resistance by articulating female experiences.
