A literatura indígena como ferramenta de preservação cultural em narrativas do Roni Wasiry Guará

Abstract

This article analyzes how contemporary Indigenous literature, especially the works *Çaiçú-Indé: o primeiro grande amor do mundo* and *Mondagarà: a traição dos encantados*, by Roni Wasiry Guará, acts as an instrument of cultural preservation, identity resistance, and reaffirmation of the ancestral memory of the Maraguá people. Indigenous literary production is understood as a political and epistemological movement that breaks with centuries of colonial silencing, valuing orality, origin myths, and traditional worldviews. Orality, the foundation of Indigenous cultures, remains a structuring axis of writing, being understood as a form of collective memory and transmission of teachings. Methodologically, the research follows a qualitative, phenomenological, and hermeneutical approach, analyzing symbols, rituals, cosmogonic narratives, and elements of oral tradition. It concludes that Indigenous literature, by recording myths and knowledge of the original peoples, strengthens cultural continuity, expands spaces of visibility, and contributes to an intercultural dialogue that values ​​diversity and confronts historical stereotypes.
