Resumo
This research is the result of a scientific investigation related to the return of Youth and Adult Education (EJA) students to the educational process, which was developed in a municipal school in the city of Parintins-Am. The study aimed to understand what motivated students of the Youth and Adult Education (EJA) modality to return to the classroom after the period they were away from school, what challenges were faced in this path and what are their perspectives. In the development of the research, we emphasize the qualitative approach, emphasizing the nature of a phenomenological nature, we chose to use the case study in this work because it is a specific case that was studied by the authors of this investigative work, reinforced through the open questionnaire as a technique of data collection to obtain the necessary information to highlight our object of study. The questionnaires were given to students from a municipal school in the city of Parintins-Am. A theoretical basis was adopted that supported and substantiated this investigation, including the works of authors such as Aranha (2006), Strelhow (2010), Araújo (2017), Haddad (2000), Di Pierro (2001) and Silva (2017) these authors played a crucial role in helping us in the historical reconstruction of Youth and Adult Education, among other aspects addressed in this study. It was found that Youth and Adult Education students have their own internal and external motivations, and it is these factors that give them the necessary strength to fight every day. It is also evident that they faced challenges in the course of their studies, but it is important to emphasize that these obstacles can be overcome, as they told us in the development of the research. With regard to their visions of the future, that is, their perspectives, it was clear that they are optimistic, they aim to complete their studies successfully, looking for opportunities in the job market and continuing their educational journey, favoring continuous learning and at the same time lifelong.
