Resumo
The present work presents the construction of speech acts in the process of buying and
selling in two free fairs in the city of Parintins - AM, seeking to highlight the peculiarities
of the research universe and the subjects' experiences. The theory of the Acts of Speech
by J. L. Austin (1990) is used as the main contribution, along with recent studies by
Kanavillil Rajagopalan (2010) on pragmatic studies. The concepts of community of
practice are used and supported by Eckert and Ginet (1992), that allow to understand the
communities of practice as a socially organized system, finally, the studies on Free Fairs
of Araújo and Doula (2009) that allow the understanding about the universe "fair free",
among other authorities that support the text. The qualitative nature and the ethnographic
method used to perform this work allowed the immersion in the universe investigated in
a complete way, for this reason, the work is written in the first person, since the
ethnographic research allows the researcher to speak from his social place From the
collected data, we selected fourteen conversations and reports that were analyzed
according to the effects of locution, illocution and perlocution, pointed out by Austin
within the theory of speech acts, in order to understand how these daily interactions are
performed.

O presente trabalho apresenta a construção dos atos de fala no processo de compra e venda
em duas feiras livres no município de Parintins – AM, buscando evidenciar as
peculiaridades do universo da pesquisa e as vivências dos sujeitos. A teoria dos Atos de
Fala de J. L. Austin (1990) é utilizada como aporte principal, juntamente com os estudos
recentes de Kanavillil Rajagopalan (2010) sobre os estudos pragmáticos. Os conceitos de
comunidade de prática são utilizados e embasados por Eckert e Ginet (1992), que
permitem compreender as comunidades de prática como um sistema socialmente
organizado, por fim, os estudos sobre Feiras Livres de Araújo e Doula (2009) que
permitem a compreensão acerca do universo “feira livre”, dentre outras autoridades que
dão suporte ao texto. A natureza qualitativa e o método etnográfico utilizados para a
realização deste trabalho, permitiram à imersão no universo investigado de maneira
completa, por este motivo, o trabalho é escrito em primeira pessoa, pois a pesquisa
etnográfica permite que o pesquisador possa discursar a partir do seu lugar social. Dos
dados coletados, foram selecionados quatorze conversações e relatos que foram
analisados de acordo com os efeitos de locução, ilocução e perlocução, apontados por
Austin dentro da teoria dos atos de fala, afim de fazer compreender como são realizadas
essas interações cotidianas.
