Economia do turismo e moeda virtual bitcoin: estudo da utilização da moeda na economia turística.

Abstract

The importance of tourism today is evident because it is an alternative to diversify the economy. The tourist activity brings great benefits to society as a whole. Travel and tourism are major generators of employment, either directly or indirectly. And because it is dynamic, it grows faster than other economic activities. Tourism has an innovative and technological potential that encompasses the novelties launched in the market, such as the virtual currency Bitcoin. This currency was born in an innovative and creative way, in 2008, fitting as a tool that can bring benefits to tourism. One that does not require bureaucracy and costs are almost non-existent for those who use the system. This work will present the definitions of tourism, the emergence of cryptocurrencies, as well as the virtual currency Bitcoin. This work will seek to analyze the use of Bitcoin virtual currency in the context of the tourism economy. The advantages and disadvantages of cryptocurrency in tourism will be considered. Finalizing the research, will be presented economic sectors that already use the currency. It is noteworthy that the research showed that the insertion of the virtual currency Bitcoin, in tourism, still does not present large numbers, this much because of the lack of stability of Bitcoin, which is something new in the market that needs to establish itself. Therefore, the most daring businessmen who like to innovate make use of the currency.
