Resumo
This research has as its theme Special Education: The Learning Process of Low Vision Children in the Initial Years of Elementary School and aimed to analyze the learning process of children with low vision in the 2nd year of Elementary School in a municipal school in the city of Parintins/AM. Special Education is still much discussed due to the process of inclusion of people with disabilities in the school context, and this is still the subject of debates and discussions today and low vision as a disability is still little discussed, and seen in the classroom as a special need, thus requesting all legal support, which regulates special education in an inclusive perspective. Therefore, its theoretical basis is based on renowned authors, among which we highlight: LIBÂNEO (1998); GIL (2002); CORREA (2010). The research is of a qualitative nature and the descriptive study had a phenomenological approach, and as procedures the bibliographic research and questionnaire. Served as subjects for this study, 3 people. The results demonstrate that student learning at school is positive, despite the few resources directed to their educational development. It is hoped that this study can contribute beyond the reflection on the topic addressed.
