Saúde e segurança na defesa civil: riscos e fatores de risco em atividades no interior do amazonas

Abstract

The present study analyzes the health risks and risk factors faced by military personnel of the Civil Defense of Amazonas during humanitarian aid missions and technical inspections in the state's interior. The research evaluates the suitability of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and the logistical challenges inherent in this geographical and climatic context. Using a qualitative, descriptive, and exploratory approach, the study employs a literature review, semistructured interviews with 20 professionals, document analysis, and field observation to collect data. The expected findings will address physical, chemical, biological, and ergonomic risks, the military's perception of the effectiveness of PPE, and logistical difficulties. As a final product, a Guiding Booklet for Operational Risk Prevention is proposed, containing guidelines for risk mitigation, optimization of PPE use, and overcoming identified logistical challenges, aiming to strengthen the Civil Defense's response capacity and ensure better working conditions for its agents.
