Abstract

The Proceedings of the 5th Amazonian Conference on Teaching, Research, and Extension (V ENAEPE 2026), organized by the Itacoatiara Center for Higher Studies at the State University of Amazonas (CESIT/UEA), bring together a diverse range of academic works and pedagogical experiences focused on expanding higher education into rural areas and promoting sustainable development in the Amazon region. The volume compiles case studies and research in strategic areas such as teaching, research, extension, innovation, and graduate studies, highlighting initiatives for initial and continuing teacher training (such as PIBID and teaching assistant programs), the use of active methodologies, digital inclusion, sustainability, and the promotion of local cultural and socio-environmental heritage. By integrating theory, practice, and technologies aligned with regional needs, the publication reaffirms the university’s social and scientific commitment to the collective development of innovative solutions and to improving the quality of life for Amazonian communities.
