Abstract

This work, entitled Cheklist of Medicinal Plants and Popular Methods Most Used in the Municipality of Nhamundá-Am, seeks to emphasize the importance of medicinal plants for the treatment of certain diseases. to emphasize that the knowledge acquired about these species, their uses, indications and management are a legacy of the ancestors, who traditionally have passed on their knowledge from generation to generation, from the most remote times to the present day. Thus, it is necessary to rescue the popular use of medicinal varieties, and guide the population as to their purpose, always striving for the effectiveness and safety of the preparations, so that one can significantly contribute not only to such a rescue, but also to the preservation of the cultural diversity, valuing the knowledge disseminated in the local culture, mainly to give greater autonomy to the user, with regard to care, and also for the dissemination of indispensable knowledge about natural remedies that are not always used. Thus, as a result, the present work brings a Cheklist of Medicinal Plants most used in the municipality of Nhamundá, useful parts of each one, forms of preparation, and indications. Since, medicinal plants and herbal medicines are being a great ally in health care. Thus, the process of using plants in popular and traditional practices as home and community remedies is currently seen as alternative medicine.
