O sofrimento feminino como arquétipo narrativo em “Medeia”.

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the archetypal construction of the character Medea in Euripides' classical dramaturgy, aiming to investigate the use of female suffering and the way it relates to the character's writing. From this, I use mythical archetypes to exemplify the author's creative decisions, as well as some theories by Simone de Beauvoir (1967), Pierre Bourdieu (2024) and Carl Jung (2016), chosen to elucidate the relationship between myths archetypes and the social construction of women's subordination. Bibliographical research will be used as a methodology, in order to relate the cited authors with the study of the theatrical text.
