História da cultura de Ipixuna-Am: o festival folclórico como contribuição na cultura local

Abstract

The Ipixuna-AM Folkloric Festival, which had its first edition in 1997, is held annually, strengthening itself as a social event and cultural manifestation of the people of Ipixuna. This work aims to analyze cultural development in light of the social transformation that has impacted the Quadrilha Festivals in the city of Ipixuna-AM. Seeking to identify the influences that contributed to the transformation of this phenomenon, qualitative research was conducted, focused on understanding subjective aspects, such as the analyses and thoughts of organizers and participants of the Folkloric Festival. Interviews using open-ended questionnaires were also conducted with individuals involved in the festivals and participants from various Quadrilha groups, seeking a better understanding through accounts of lived experiences. Given this scenario of advancement and significant transformations in cultural manifestations, a study was important for a better understanding of how these festivities began and their importance to society.
