This work is aimed at the indigenous Apurinã storytellers from the Severino/Tefé-AM village. In this village we still find the practice of storytelling by the elders. This is an ancestral culture endowed with experiences and teachings by those who practice it, leading to learning about other visions of things and the world. Our main objective was to analyze the oral narratives of the storytellers from the Severino village as a dialogue for the construction of identities and ethnic affirmation. Prestes (2019), Goldenberg (2014), Malinowski (1975), gave us the theoretical basis for the methodological development of field research. And together with the approaches in authors such as Albert and Kopenawa (2015), Quijano (1992),Canclini (2008), Lévi-Strauss (1982), Bakhtin (2012), Krenak (2019) and (2020), Munduruku (2005) , Morin (2015), Bosi (1994), Kambeba (2021), Maciel (2016), Loureiro (2015), Freire (1996), Todorov (1999), among others, we dialogue for the interdisciplinary weaving of knowledge with Apurinã voices elders present. We understand that the stories told are narratives that help in the process of human formation of the indigenous being. The storytelling practiced by the elders of the Severino village is a culture that links them to their origin, which brings aspects of their local culture into the village. Therefore, the narrators, when telling their narratives, share and build knowledge, which legitimizes their ethnic identities and which also dialogue for the construction of identities and ethnic affirmation of the other Apurinãs of the referred village.
