Abstract

This volume, the seventh in the “Functional Guide to Ball Sports” series, focuses on three subcategories: games involving kicking the ball back, games involving hitting the ball at an opponent, and games involving shooting the ball at a target. Ball-passing games are those in which the teams’ participation with the ball is alternated; that is, one team cannot interfere with the other’s play and must wait until the ball is passed to them. This necessarily occurs because the objective of these games is precisely to pass the ball to the opposing team, attempting to prevent them from receiving or returning it. In other words, the teams must pass the ball back and forth between themselves.
