Educação ambiental e resíduos sólidos urbanos: oficina de minibiocomposteiras em escola pública de Parintins.

Abstract

This work aims to present to students of a public school in the city of Parintins, Amazonas, ways to reuse organic waste that is usually thrown away, transforming it into fertilizer for various uses (vegetable gardens, flowerbeds, etc.) through the project entitled “mini-biocomposters”. Based on practical teaching on the use of recyclable materials (plastics and others) as containers and the mixing of organic compounds of various components, it is possible to obtain varied results for the production of composts. Thus, it constitutes an interdisciplinary instrument of teaching and teaching practice. In this sense, the mini-biocomposters workshop also serves as a valuable learning experience for sustainability, as it contributes to the more correct use of organic solid waste.
