Abstract

The general objective of the work is to identify the main experiences acquired by a guest in a hostel. In relation to the specific objectives these are to describe the profile of the people who stay in a hostel, research hostel experience in accommodation, evaluate the main cultural activities developed in the hostel and examine the relationship between visited and Visitors. As to the methodology the method of approach was qualitative and quantitative. The explanatory objectives were descriptive and exploratory. The research happened in the municipality of São Paulo because the capital was the second place to own hostel in the country, the first was in the municipality of Rio de Janeiro in the year 1961, which was through the couple Trotta that had its beginning in the country. The research was of great importance, because it helped the researcher to understand the success of the hostel both with tourists and in the market and also because it is a new line of thought, does not have many studies on, so this study will serve as the basis for Next polls. The results obtained concluded that the hostel is an environment where leisure and education go together and that it is a suitable place for new experiences, being in meeting people and new cultures as if discovering and having it all for an affordable price.
