Resumo

The present study aims to verify how the process of internal and external production and marketing of Brazil nuts (Bertholletia excelsa Bonpl.) is carried out, at the Association of Chestnut Producers and Beneficiaries in the Municipality of Amaturá-Am. It covered everything from the extraction process of Brazil nuts (Bertholletia excelsa Bonpl.), to the analysis of the largest nut producer by mesoregion and microregion in the state of Amazonas. The research is qualitative, descriptive and quantitative in nature. The results of extractivism can be seen step by step through the process until it is sold at varying prices depending on the production of the year's harvest. To arrive at the packaging of the dehydrated almonds, an entire production monitoring process was carried out at the Association of Nut Producers and Beneficiaries of the Municipality of Amaturá (APROCAM) and analyzed as the largest producer in the mesoregion of the state, the south of Amazonas stands out in more than one time, producing around 7,188 tons extracted and collecting approximately R$ 21,277 in 2019 and its municipality Humaitá located in the Madeira microregion of the state stands out with approximately 4,500 tons extracted and collecting around R$ 11,700 in 2019. And in these two years the The municipality of Amaturá remains the largest producer in Alto Solimões, located in southeastern Amazonia according to the (IBGE) Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics - Production of Plant Extraction and Silviculture (PEVS). It is concluded that extractive farmers, secondary buyers and APROCAM act significantly positively in commercial logistics for extractives in the nut production chain in the municipality of Amaturá-AM, highlighted by Alto Solimões.
