A história das comunidades ribeirinhas com ênfase na comunidade boca do campina

Abstract

Riverside communities are groups of houses located along rivers and streams scattered throughout Brazilian territory. Although they are not given the recognition they deserve, these communities hold within them legacies, beliefs, knowledge, diversity, and cultures that influence Brazilian diversity. The overall objective of this work was to recount a part of the history of traditional communities, how they emerged, their economic development, cultural traditions, and their influence on urban environments. In particular, the Boca do Campina community was examined, focusing on the transformations that have occurred since its inception to the present day. The methodology used to gather information was through interviews with residents of the Boca do Campina locality, who provided the necessary data for obtaining the research results.
