Resumo
This work aimed to investigate the somatic education in dance for an autonomy of expressiveness of adolescent students between 12 and 13 years of public education. Thinking about this stage of human development: How can the somatic approach to dance contribute to the expressive autonomy of the adolescent student and what are the changes inside and outside the school after this contact? In this sense, the research was developed in Manaus public school, having as theoretical reference, reflections about dance in the school environment, about the somatic approaches and the adolescent student in relation to their corporal experiences to the school and family environment. It was characterized by a qualitative approach research, as for the exploratory research and field research purposes, and it used the experimental research with the participants. Therefore, it is concluded that the student, when in contact with the somatic dance, his autonomy for expressiveness was authentic, so that he valued his body experiences that this phase provides.
