Caracterização do uso de produtos florestais não madeireiros na comunidade indígena matapí, no município de São Gabriel da Cachoeira-AM

Abstract

The objective of this work was to study the use of non-timber forest products and their economic implications in the MATAPI Indigenous Community, São Grabriel da Cachoeira, AM. Aiming to contribute to knowing the forest species used in exploration within the community, characterizing the products from the species and analyzing the commercialization and its financial impacts. The research methodology was quantitative and qualitative, according to the semistructured questionnaire, carried out with 24 families residing in the indigenous community, using the “ snow ball” method. This research carried out in the MATAPI community demonstrates the consequences and incidences of the use of PMNF, becoming part of the daily lives of families inserted in the process that seeks the development and improvement of Family income.
