Abstract

The present research aims to report the lack of interest in reading students, whose problem is one of the greatest in our education. It is known that reading is essential for the teaching and learning process, because it is through it that new horizons are attracted. The results of the research, applied to the students of the 8th year of the state school Pedro Teixeira, shows that some actions can still be done to give new direction to this problem.
