Resumo
This dissertation proposes an interart analysis about representations of the female body in The body's words (2012), by Maria Teresa Horta, and in We, Madalenas: a word fo feminism (2016), by Maria Ribeiro. Divided into two parts, the first discusses the perceptions about the body and the presence of women in literature, and presents a walk through the history of photography. The second part presents the two authors in evidence and points out five paths for the liberation of the body, namely: art, voice, revolution, deobjectification, and self-knowledge. We chose to use a predominantly female theoretical contribution in order to foster women's perception of their bodies. As a reflection that conduct the link between the parts of this study is the myth of Andromeda, whose narrative reveals the imprisonment of women's bodies.
