Resumo
The violin and viola are instruments of similar physical form and executive techniques, which can cause common mistakes when their different characteristics are not considered. For this reason, we can distinguish a subtly different way of playing both instruments, necessary to obtain all the capacity and sound quality that they can provide. These, which presuppose different techniques for playing both instruments, are approached through a theoretical overview regarding the physical forms of the instruments, their construction materials and the performance techniques used, separated by each arm and hands of the instrumentalist, punctuating the similarities and requiring adaptations or modifications.
