Resumo

This work is the result of a scientific research, whose theme is "Pedagogical Residency Program: reflections and contributions to teacher education". The study aims to understand the contributions of the Pedagogical Residency Program to the training of teachers of the Pedagogy course at (CESP-UEA), we also mention the impacts and challenges of this program for their training during participation in that program. The methodological approach is of a qualitative nature, with a phenomenological approach, through the questionnaire and the semi-structured interview we collected the data that helped us to understand the investigated phenomenon. Five residents in the Pedagogy course at the Center for Higher Studies in Parintins (CESP-UEA) participated in the research. The theorists who based this research were Pimenta (2008), Leite (2011), Lima (2013), Ghedin (2013) among others, which brought many contributions to the study. Therefore, it was verified the importance of the Pedagogical Residency Program for the training of teachers, as it made it possible for them to contact the classroom, understand the school environment, their professional field, since they build their identity in the course of this process. training, which helped to familiarize them with the professional environment in which they aspire to follow.
