Resumo
The technology of Augmented Reality (AR) is growing and has gained space with its use in education. It is believed that the RA has much to contribute with regard to teaching and learning, because it offers a methodology of very attractive presentation of the contents. Allowing the participation of virtual objects from the projection to the world, allowing a greater interaction of the content with the student and improving the understanding. Thus, the process of teaching and learning can be enhanced by the AR, one of the main factors is the motivation of students and users in general, as it makes knowledge more dynamic and enjoyable. In this perspective, this work presents the development of a mobile application with AR technology to support the teaching about the concepts of Characterization and Rotation of our Solar System. In this context, virtual objects that represent the Sun and the eight planets that make up our Solar System will be implemented in the mobile application.
