Resumo
The present work presents a study carried out in a rural school, located in the District of Piraí, on the Andirá River, in the municipality of Barreirinha - Am. Its theme is Interdisciplinarity as
a pedagogical practice in a multigrade rural school. The general objective of this research was to investigate the interdisciplinary practice of teachers in a rural school on the riverside. The
theoretical framework was based on Freire (2001), Fazenda (2008), Gandin (2014) and other authors who corroborated the theoretical and methodological basis of this investigation. This
research received a qualitative bias, and as for the purposes it is constituted as exploratory and descriptive, with a dialectical approach, in order to understand the essence of the study. We also
used bibliographical research, as the main means for the theoretical foundation. We used as techniques to collect data the semi-structured interview and the participant observation as
methods of procedures. We start from the assumption that the principles of interdisciplinarity contribute to the construction of a rural education perspective and enable the construction of a
differentiated curriculum, through the pedagogical practices developed in multigrade rural schools. The proposition has been strengthened from our experiences as an education
professional, in a certain period that I worked as a teacher in a multigrade school, feeling the need for a concrete action based on interdisciplinary practices. We hope that this work will
contribute to the pedagogical practices in the rural school, always seeking to innovate the activities produced through interdisciplinarity, relating them to the social and cultural
environment in which the school is inserted.
