| dc.description | Este artigo apresentará brevemente algumas teorias sobre as origens do metro do hexâmetro homérico a partir do caráter formular e oral da épica antiga, principalmente apoiado nas ideias dos helenistas e estudiosos M. L. West (1996), J. M. Foley (1990) e G. Nagy (1990), para sustentar a observação de que não haja um ethos próprio a cada padrão rítmico ou estrutural desse hexâmetro nem mesmo intenção do autor na composição métrica do verso. Para tanto, no início, tratará especialmente da estruturação métrica do hexâmetro (interior e exterior). Mostraremos, apoiados em bibliografia secundária, como no hexâmetro homérico dificilmente haveria algum ethos próprio relacionado a certos padrões métricos. O que é possível entender a partir dos estudos de Parry (1971) e Lord (1960), especialmente articulados por Foley (1996) e Nagy (1990), ao estabelecerem as relações entre a tradição oral-formular e o metro do verso épico. Em especial, as propostas dos autores relacionam o metro do hexâmetro a uma fraseologia tradicional de épocas anteriores e tendem a segmentar o verso em unidades prosódicas menores. | pt_BR |
| dc.description.abstract | This article will briefly present some theories about the origins of the meter of the Homeric hexameter from the formulatory and oral character of the ancient epic, mainly supported by the ideas of Hellenists and scholars ML West (1996), JM Foley (1990) and G. Nagy (1990) ), to support the observation that there is no ethos proper to each rhythmic or structural pattern of that hexameter nor even the author's intention in the metrical composition of the verse. To do so, in the beginning, will deal especially with the metric structuring of the hexameter (interior and exterior). We will show, supported in secondary bibliography, as in the homeric hexameter hardly there would be some own ethos related to certain metric standards. What is possible to understand from the studies of Parry (1971) and Lord (1960), especially articulated by Foley (1996) and Nagy (1990), when establishing the relations between oral tradition and the meter of the epic verse. In particular, the authors' proposals relate the hexameter meter to a traditional phraseology of earlier times and tend to segment the verse into smaller prosodic units. | pt_BR |
