Resumo

This work was developed within the Biology course offered at the Center for Higher Studies of Parintins – CESP, affiliated with the University of the State of Amazonas – UEA. It presents a Didactic Sequence as a methodological strategy to support and strengthen the practice of teachers who teach Biology in High Schools in public schools in the state of Amazonas. The aim is to propose a Didactic Sequence (DS) for teaching unconventional food plants (PANC) and to reinforce the Curricular Deepening Units that compose the Portfolios of the Deepening Trails of SEDUC/AM. The Didactic Sequence was elaborated based on the guidelines of the Curricular and Pedagogical Proposal of SEDUC/AM and other legal documents (BNCC) that support basic education in the state of Amazonas. The UCACNT003 proposes the study and contextualization of some concepts such as biodiversity, agroecology, PANC, traditional food (culinary), PANC vegetables, and the economic, social, and nutritional benefits of PANC. In addition to these concepts, other disciplinary contents may be selected to dialogue with the main theme of the study. For a better understanding of the methodological strategy, we highlight the UCAs that support the Deepening Trail of the area of Natural Sciences and its Technologies (CNT) "Environment, Sustainability, and Bioeconomy". We present some suggestions on how to build a Didactic Sequence and propose a DS in five stages as an educational product, followed by instruments that will support its use. It is hoped that this proposal may stimulate the implementation of innovative teaching practices that contribute to the learning of students in basic education, specifically in the teaching of Biology.
