Ensino médio regular noturno: falência e consequências na prática docente de história

Abstract

This study investigated the impact of regular night-time secondary education in the municipality of Carauari-AM, highlighting its contributions to the formation of citizens during the period it was active in the municipality. The research focused on the possible causes that led to the replacement of this system with Youth and Adult Education (EJA) and discusses the consequences of this change. Using a theoretical-critical approach, based on the analysis of national and local educational policies and the experience gained during the supervised internship in History II, carried out in the evening shift at the Osvaldo Nascimento State School, the study emphasizes that regular night-time education, in its previous form, offers a more complete and adequate formative process for working students compared to the current EJA system, pointing to the need for a review of night-time educational policies in the municipality.
