A função socioambiental da propriedade como instrumento de combate ao desmatamento na região metropolitana de Manaus: análise dos empreendimentos imobiliários na rodovia AM – 070 sob a ótica do desenvolvimento regional e sustentável

Abstract

The environment has become one of the agendas to be observed in the process of regional development, mainly through its status as a constitutionally recognized fundamental right. In this sense, the state of Amazonas has experienced the environmental consequences of waves of development throughout its history, the most recent being the inauguration of the Ponte Jornalista Phelipe Daou (Bridge over the Rio Negro), which encourages real estate speculation on the AM 0-70 highway, the main access to the municipalities of Iranduba and Manacapuru from the capital Manaus. Thus, in view of the significant increase in real estate developments, the advance of deforestation and the environmental imbalance in the middle of Brazil's largest metropolitan region, the Metropolitan Region of Manaus, along the AM 0-70 highway, the question arises: How do real estate developments on the AM-070 highway apply the socio-environmental function of property to promote sustainable regional development in times of deforestation in the Amazon? The general objective of this dissertation is to verify the socio-environmental function of property as an instrument to combat deforestation in real estate developments along the AM-070 highway, which connects the municipalities of Iranduba and Manacapuru to Manaus, from the perspective of sustainable and regional development. To this end, the methodology used was bibliographical, documentary and legislative research, of a quantitative and qualitative nature, with a survey of data and maps, on-site visits and letters sent to the bodies involved in the highway. It also uses a deductive approach and is descriptive in nature. Three chapters were drawn up, each subdivided into three sub-items. In the end, the hypotheses presented were confirmed.
