Resumo
This work entitled “the importance of games in teaching mathematics in the initial grades: theoretical approaches on games with pedagogical materials and mathematical digital games” aimed to identify, through a systematized bibliographic review, the main research on the application of digital games and games with teaching materials about the importance and difficulties presented in mathematics education in the initial grades. The methodology used to achieve the desired objectives was based on the premise of the exploratory qualitative approach method, divided into stages: In the first stage there was planning regarding the main methods used in the bibliography search, with this the article review period was estimated between 2014-2020, using inclusion and exclusion criteria; As a form of filtering, the string was used, with keywords, synonymy and advanced search, and at the end the categorization with the descriptive spectrum of the collected data. The results show that around 75% of the sources researched are found on the margins between 2015 and 2020, in 2018 few publications were carried out, according to the application of the criteria, the number of publications narrowed, with only 62 publications, in relation to The most used strings and with the highest number of results were “games”, “mathematical games”, “digital games”, totaling almost 87% of the entire search. The research still shows biases in the usefulness of the variation in published articles and the concern of researchers regarding the use of educational practice within the classroom.
