Coleção botânica: produção de carpoteca com frutos de palmeiras (arecaceae) consumidos no município de Parintins

Abstract

The city of Parintins- AM is home to a variety of species typical of the Amazon flora, among which are species belonging to the Arecaceae botanical family, which includes all species of palm trees, with their importance for local and regional livelihood, and considerable means for scientific studies and research, ethnobotanical, biogeographic and among others. The objective of this monograph was to elaborate a fruit carpoteca in bunches of palm trees, present in the municipality of Parintins- AM, to compose the Herbarium of the Center of Higher Studies of Parintins- UEA. The result was a collection of 11 bunches of different species that occur in the Amazon region, in which they are inserted in the carpoteca presenting in this work, with the procedures adopted in the collections, description made in the field, accompanied by characterization of the fruits, found in specialized literature for each species collected.
