Abstract

This paper proposes to portray how travel journalism is inserted in the current context of the Russian invasion of Ukraine through communication, culture and tourism. In this sense, it addresses the origin of the conflict between the two countries, explains the dimension and role of journalism conceptualizing the specialties of travel journalism and tourism. The main objective of this study is to record the impact of war on culture, communication and tourism. Being a qualitative research, the methodology used to develop the work was the bibliographical research. The analysis of the results shows through the data obtained, the impact of the war on tourism and the economic deficiency among the countries involved. whereas the impact of the war also affects the world economy, harming all other sectors, tourism being one of the first segments to be harmed, where it is evident that travel journalism helps in choosing destinations and offers an insight into notions of culture, communication, economy and tourism.
