Resumo
Second childhood is a period in which children are developing psychomotricity, a factor that should be encouraged from the early years of childhood. We can highlight aspects such as attention, motor coordination, memorization and balance that enable the development of a child and that can be enhanced by the interaction of his body with an environment and with what exists in it, thus establishing affective and emotional connections. It is known that ballet, with its technique and organizations, can help in this psychomotor development, allowing them to express themselves as social and artistic individuals, and may influence in several other aspects. Therefore, the objective of this work was to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of teaching Classical Ballet applied to psychomotor development deficits in the second childhood of schoolchildren. To ensure that the objective was achieved, we used the methodology in field research where children between 5 and 6 years old were found in school, dividing the entire collection into stages. The first was a conversation with the children's parents to explain the research, followed by the application of the pre-activities form. The second stage was the application of the activities, using playful means and methods through classical ballet, and the third stage was the application of the post-activity forms, comparing the first result with the second so that we could compare the realities arising from the proposed actions . After carrying out the analysis of the data, in general, three certain children had a great improvement in the variables that were analyzed, emphasizing that all three children had no absences during the entire process. Others who missed 1 or 2 classes had their performance either stable or impaired. Concluding that, in fact, classical ballet enables an aid in the psychomotor development of children in their second childhood.
