Abstract

This article is a brief analysis and reflection on Richard Strauss’s Concert No. 1 for French Horn and Orchestra, a very important concert within the instrument’s literature, considered obligatory to obtain a good technique and sound, necessary for the professional training of the horn player, highlighting points where the performer must pay more attention, the qualities necessary for the perfect interpretation of the most difficult passages, as well as their historical importance.
