Etnoconhecimento sobre os crustáceos decapodos dos Sateré Mawé do Andirá - Barreirinha AM

Abstract

The present work raises discute about traditional knowledge of indigenous peoples: ethno- knowledge about the crustaceans decapods of the Sateré Mawé of the Andirá – municipality of the Barreirinha/Am. Knowing we have seen that the exchange of traditional knowledge by the new generations is being lost, and that we can combine traditional empirical knowledge with scientific knowledge and through that teach and learn about zoology relating such knowledge. The aim of this work is a methodological development through an approach research through open interviews carried out in indigenous communities of the Andirá, belonging to the municipality of Barreirinha-AM, with the main objective of characterizing the ethno-knowledge about the regional decapod crustaceans of the Sateré Mawé, in the indigenous communities of the Municipality of Barreirinha/AM. For this, collections of the decapod crustaceans more known by the indigenous people were carried out so that we could identify how this knowledge was scientifically interconnected, or if the indigenous people contained more specific rudimentary knowledge about decapod crustaceans. Taking into account the scarcity of articles related to the ethno-knowledge of the Sateré Mawé peoples in relation to the zoology, and regarding the knowledge about decapod crustaceans, it makes sense and is of fundamental importance to carry out an inventory of the knowledge and uses and practices of traditional indigenous peoples.
