Resumo
This paper discusses Heritage Education as a possibility of an educational activity to be developed in schools, in order to sensitize the student and form the identity of the citizen tourist. The focus of the research is the cultural heritage Palacete Provincial of the city Manaus, located in Amazonas, Brazil. The general objective is to identify the importance of educational development from the tourist visits to the cultural space. This is an exploratory and descriptive research, with a qualitative and quantitative methodology with bibliographic technical procedures. As a result, it was observed that the Palacete Provincial Cultural Center, from the educational visits, is an achievable space for the development of cultural activities. This study presents practices that can contribute to raise awareness among public and private education managers about the need to invest in Cultural Tourism and Heritage Education.
