Menino: o teatro performativo em um processo criativo negro.

Abstract

This paper presents an analysis of the performance in the autobiographical play "Menino," produced by Cia. Café Preto. The work reflects on my childhood memories and experiences, offering a critical perspective that facilitates a dialogue with the audience regarding themes of freedom, loneliness, and the representation of marginalized communities, specifically focusing on the ghetto (periferia) and the black experience in contemporary society. This research was carried out using the Performative Research methodology (Haseman, 2015), as it meets the needs that an artistic creation demands to be recorded as research and academic writing.
