Resumo
The Course Completion Work presents a process of explanation of the
main characteristics of childhood depression and its impacts on school education
and in learning. It was investigated at the teaching unit of the city of
Tabatinga the knowledge of teachers on the subject. Furthermore, this work aims to
provide introductory subsidies in approaching the subject of childhood depression with the
schoolchildren's families, the social context of development and, mainly, in the
school. And for such an investigation, bibliographical and field research was carried out. A
from a perceived need both in the family, social and school environment, this
work intends to contribute with the purpose of minimizing the suffering and implications
caused by childhood depression
