Resumo

Emotional intelligence is a construct in evidence today, generally associated with success and quality of life presents a relevant field of study for society and especially for contemporary education. Considering that emotions can influence the teaching-learning process and that this understanding is fundamental in the daily routine of the classroom. The present work makes a relationship between dance and the development of emotional intelligence in the school context. The general objective of the study is to understand the relationship that teachers of a municipal school in the city of Manaus establish between intelligence, emotional intelligence, learning and dance in the light of the theory of multiple and emotional intelligences. In order to raise the teachers' conception of intelligence and emotional intelligence, a qualitative investigation was conducted through semi-structured interviews. Through research, it was found that the school has knowledge about the importance of intelligence in school, and that dance can contribute to develop such skills.
