Resumo

This work presents a research on the theme "Teaching the Four Basic Operations of Mathematics in High School, Using the VLibras Application" because of the difficulties that are found in the daily life of deaf students in schools. The objective was to train the hearing and deaf students in a high school in the municipality of Itacoatiara, to learn LIBRAS applied to the teaching of Mathematics in the four basic operations, with the help of the VLibras educational tool, in order to reach its specific objectives, to verify the degree of knowledge of the educational contents of the four basic operations of mathematics in LIBRAS; present the VLibras as an aid tool in teaching pedagogical practice in translating and interpreting LIBRAS and improving the use of the VLibras application through Smartphones, Tablets or Computers so that the listening students can adequately express in the basic operations of mathematics in LIBRAS . This research showed that technology can contribute in a positive way to education with the VLibras application that made possible the improvement in the communication of the deaf student and in the use as pedagogical tool for teachers in the school environment, directed to the students of the 1st year of high school teaching-learning and integration of the deaf student.
