Resumo
This study discusses how the inflation dynamics occurred, which
occurred during the period of the COVID-19 pandemic, from January 2020 until January
2023. During this period, important decisions were made regarding the policy
monetary policy to be adopted to contain the advances in inflation around the world. In that
study analyzed inflation data from Brazil, the United States and the United Kingdom
United. Three economic theories were analyzed to help understand the
causes of inflation in these countries. At the end of the study, it was possible to conclude that the
inflation of this period was mainly caused by the increase in costs caused
mainly due to the increase in the price of commodities, the breakdown of supply chains
supplies, exchange rate devaluation.
