Abstract

The present monograph with the theme “The Toadas of Boi-Bumbá Garantido as a didactic resource for teaching grammatical classes in Portuguese classes in the 8th grade of Elementary School” has as its main objective to investigate how the toadas can be used as a didactic resource for teaching grammar in Portuguese classes in the 8th grade of Elementary School in a Municipal Public School, located in the Municipality of Parintins-AM. The theoretical foundation of the research was based on Bagno (2010), Bechara (2015), Celso Cunha (2012), Travaglia (2009), among others who collaborated for the development of this research. The work was carried out through a qualitative approach, field research and bibliographical. Regarding data collection, questionnaires were applied to 8th grade students at the school chosen for this purpose, as well as interviews with composers and toada creators from Boi-Bumbá Garantido. Workshops were also proposed to investigate the nouns, adjectives and verbs present in the Boi-Bumbá Garantido toadas, focused on the public in Elementary School II. Finally, the final considerations reinforce the relevance of addressing the content of the toadas as a pedagogical resource in Portuguese Language Teaching, where the results are positive and the workshop proposal was relevant to this research.
